Isabella - WIL Christmas 2012

The last several weeks have been jam packed with styling and shooting sessions for walk in love.'s Christmas 2012 looks. I absolutely love that, as self employed creatives, we get to do it all. We design the shirts. We choose our models. We style. We shoot. We edit. We blog. We design. And it starts all over again. But that doesn't mean that it's not a crap-ton of work. Ha!

I was thrilled when our intern Tori suggested a girl she "kiiiind of knows" for photos. I love using fans of walk in love. for our models. It's been our thing since day one and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. While Isabella hadn't been in front of my camera ever before, with a little direction, she was a natural. Exactly what we were looking for! And a huge high five to her for our first shoot being a sunrise session! It was sooo early. And sooo cold.

Wanted to share just a few of my favorite images from this shoot. Be sure to check walk in love.'s blog over the next couple weeks as we flood it with fantastic images for our latest products! Enjoy! -Brooke

Jake + Luciana

Jake, Luciana and I recently met at the beautiful John James Audubon Center for their engagement session. I've shot a few weddings here before and I've never seen the center in autumn! It's gorgeous! As the weather quickly turned from comfortable to freezing, the three of us lucked out with a beautiful weekend afternoon. We walked around, enjoyed the changing trees, the slight breeze and shared stories while sitting upon pine needles. I'm beyond excited to shoot their wedding next year, they're just too cute! -Jeff

Rob + Suzy

Several weeks ago, T.J. and I met up with Rob + Suzy on a Sunday morning to shoot their engagements. Suzy had recently attended a private party at a friend's house and while she was there, thought to herself, "This place would be perfect for our engagement session!" We were pumped that Suzy had picked out her own place for photos because it's always fun for us to shoot at a place unique to the couple themselves.

We had a great time walking around the property, snapping photos here and there, chatting about their big day ahead. T.J. and I are very excited for Rob + Suzy's wedding. I'm certain it'll be here before we know it! Enjoy! -Brooke

Ron + Helena

A few months ago I sat down to check my e-mail, like I do every day I'm in the office, and I saw an e-mail from Helena (a 2012 bride) titled October 28th.  I read through the first part of the e-mail and then I screamed after reading this line, "The reason I am writing you is to tell you that we decided to change the format of our wedding to a very small destination wedding from Oct 25 - Oct 28, 2012 in Saint Lucia."  Brooke ran in to see what was wrong and I told her the good news and we both started screaming like we were 16 year old girls getting to see the Biebs in concert.

Last week we had the pleasure of finally meeting Helena and her fiance Ron in New York at their apartment.  They wanted photos around their neighborhood so we walked around and talked about jobs, life, wedding plans and there super cute dog Mason.  They wanted to take a few photos at several of their favorite food places, so we went to Little Cupcake Bakeshop.  Unforuntately, all the benches in front of the shop were full, so I kindly asked this woman if she wouldn't mind giving up her bench for a minute just so we could snap a few shots.  I told her she could have it right back.  She looked up at me and growled like I had just asked to sacrafice her first born, got off the bench and muttered as she stormed off.  It was weird.  Helena and Ron assured me that not all New Yorkers were like that.

Brooke and I had a blast shooting their photos up and down their block and we can't wait to travel to Saint Lucia to shoot their big day! - T.J.

Phil + Kara

When I found out sometime last month that Kara was engaged, I instantly stalked her and her fiance, Phil, on Facebook... and then sent her a message saying "Let me shoot your wedding!!" That's not something I do very often - but I just had to. I know and remember Kara well from highschool and mutual friends. Kara is one of those people that makes the most out of life, not to mention she's also hysterical.  Oh! And she's also my masseuse... when I remember to make the appointment!

Phil + Kara met through school and entertained a friendship for over a year before realizing they both had a thing for one another. After dating for awhile, Phil hatched a plan to sweep Kara off her feet with one of the most personal and brilliant proposals I've heard in awhile.

Kara's all time, hands down, favorite movie is What About Bob. (Which in my book, instantly makes Kara and I a little closer to becoming best friends.) Phil researched and researched until he found the lake house that was used in the movie at "Lake Winnipesaukee". Phil told Kara not to book anything for a certain day, took her on a road trip and they ended up taking a little tour of the lake house. It was there, on the dock, that Phil asked Kara to spend the rest of her life with him. While telling us their propsoal story, Kara said that she was already pretty emotional getting to see the lake house and property where the movie was filmed - so when Phil popped the question, it was simply over-the-top amazing. What an awesome story for a couple that deserves all things good and wonderful.

T.J. and I had a great time shooting their engagements. Phil + Kara were a ton of fun and we can't wait to shoot their big day this fall. I have high-hopes for their wedding and know I won't be dissapointed! -Brooke

The Inspired Collection

T.J. and I are primarily wedding photographers. And I love that, don't get me wrong! But there are those days when I wish a bride would jump over fireworks for a photo, or someone's reception would be a giant pizza party. And that is why I thank God that T.J. and I own walk in love. It allows us to be creative in a way that's not comformed to someone's normal wedding day schedule. It's refreshing - and makes us better wedding photographers for that matter!

I'm thrilled to show you a handful of images from The Inspired Collection Lookbook shoot. Please check out the actual lookbook on shopwalkinlove.com, HERE - and take a few minutes to watch the AMAZING video that Jeff and I collaborated on. (Jeff shot it, I edited it.)

I am blessed to have such a talented team, beautiful (I mean, seriously beautiful) friends and a husband who is so passionate about life that it overflows into every aspect of our lives.

I give you, The Inspired Collection....

Nina - Spring Collection 2012

I wanted to share some portraits I shot this past week for walk in love.'s Spring Collection lookbook. Shooting for walk in love. is one of my favorite things to do. Since I have control over both the images and the styling of the shoot, it's (almost) always enjoyable. :) It's not enjoyable when it's two days before black friday, it's freakin' freezing out and I've got 10 new shirt designs to style and photograph - but currently, that's neither here nor there.

Last Friday, (Friday, gotta get down on Friday... don't judge - you know all the words too) I shot Nina at a local friend's property and the images turned out beautifully. I'm thrilled with them, especially the ones with the bike. I knew those would be my favorite before I'd even shot them!

These warm, happy images make me so excited for this year's wedding season to really start. It's going to be awesome. -Brooke

Kealan + Alison

When Alison and I shared e-mails about arranging her engagement shoot I knew that it was going to be a great session. Kealan and Alison are so much fun to be around and our entire session included story telling and laughing. We decided to meet at the Rockford Plantation, but since I've photographed a lot of couples there I scouted the area to go for a different look than usual. It was an incredibly windy day but I'm so grateful for their willingness to get some awesome images. As we were talking, we both had an appreciation for long distance relationships and even though theirs wasn't as far as mine is, it gave me tons of hope that it's doable. Their wedding is now one of my most anticipated of the year, as they are an absolute joy to be around. -Jeff

Tyler + Kaddie

So, it seems to be a recurring theme lately that when I get out of my car to meet someone for photos I instantly go, "I know this person?!?!" With T.J. handling all of our emails and client relations (which, by the way, he's amazing at), I don't always know that I know the client ahead of time. But, once again, as soon as I saw Kaddie I knew she had to be related to someone I used to run track with. And sure enough she is, they're sisters! I knew her sister Jenna in high school and remember running track workouts with her. (Eh! Track workouts... just thinking about them makes me sore.)

Tyler + Kaddie met in elementary school... and the rest is history! I believe they started dating in middle school and have been together ever since. They were precious together and shooting their engagements has made T.J. and I that much more excited for their wedding next May!
