Halloween Dance Fest Flying Booth

At the Halloween Dance Fest we had two Smilebooths set up.  The first was with a sparkly background of happiness designed by Ashley Meaders.  The second was with a giant black sheet.  My goal was to have people take really wide photos so I could make them look like they were floating in nothingness.  I think we did it!  Which one is your favorite? - T.J.

Matt + Leslie

A few weeks ago my good friend from college Leslie got married to an awesome guy named Matt!  We are working on their photos and hope to have them up on the blog soon, but for now I thought I would share some of my favorite shots from the Smilebooth! - T.J.

Kyle + Sam // Smilebooth

My little sister has been married for over a week now.  It's kind of crazy to think about it.  This morning I decided that we would continue the week of Kyle + Sam on our blog by posting the Smilebooth photos from their wedding.  Since the Smilebooth has joined the Brooke Courtney team I think it has captured more photos of my family members than anyone else.  It's been to both first birthday parties of my neices, Nick's birthday, my birthday, Brooke's birthday, Sam's birthday, two Christmas parties, two Halloweens, my parent's 30th wedding anniversary, two of Sam's 5th grade classrooms, Nick and Lindsey's wedding, countless other parties and now the wedding of Kyke + Sam.  I am so thankful that Brooke and I can provide it at such big and important events as our families grow.  Sam and Kyle have documented their whole relationship in the Smilebooth.  When they showed a slideshow at the rehearsal dinner I made the comment to Brooke that it looked like a Smilebooth commercial.  It was very fitting that the Smilebooth was at their wedding and it was enjoyed by all!  Enjoy some of my favorites! - T.J.

Taylor's Graduation Party

Yesterday, Brooke's family celebrated her brother, Taylor's, graduation from Liberty University with a picnic, hotdogs, yard games and of course the Smilebooth.  While Taylor did graduate from college, I still think his greatest accomplishment/skill is his ability to make faces in the Smilebooth. - T.J.

Christmas Wedding 2012

This past Saturday Brooke and I hosted our annual Christmas themed party.  This years theme was Tacky Christmas Wedding!  It is always so much fun to have all our loved ones over and see what direction they took the theme.  It's so hard to pick the best Smilebooth photos for the blog because they are all so funny.  Enjoy our favorites and Merry Christmas! -T.J.

Halloween Dance Fest 2

It's rare that a sequel is better than the original, but Halloween Dance Fest 2 was!  We had a blast dancing, joking and of course being totally outrageous in the Smilebooth!

Best overall costume - Citizens of the Capital

Brooke's Favorite - #2 Pencil

T.J.'s Favorite - Michael Vick (fumbling the ball all night)

Jeff's Favorite - Raggity Anne

Sam's Favorite - Tobias Funke (Never nude/Blue man)

Tori's Favorite - The Cereal Killer

Thank you to all for coming out and having a great time!  Hope to see more of you next year! - T.J.

Jonnie + Jen

This past Saturday was amazing.  Brooke, Sam and I all had the privelage of attending one of the coolest weddings we've ever been apart of.  I don't want to talk about it too much because I want to keep you in suspense for the actual wedding photos.  So instead of talking about the day I will speak briefly about the people that were there.  Brooke, Sam and I were treated so well at this wedding that we felt like we had been dear friends of Jonnie and Jen for many years.  We know that as wedding photographers we show up on a super important day, follow you around and then leave.  It's a very interesting job and place we find ourselves in most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  We don't take it lightly and we really do feel honored and privealged to witness such beautiful and monumental days in the lives of people.  So with that being said Brooke, Sam and I want to say a huge THANK YOU! to Jen, Jonnie, your families and friends.  You guys made us feel like one of the gang and we are so deeply touched by that!  Also all the compliments on my first ever bow tie gave me a lot of confidence so expect more bow ties from this guy!  The Smilebooth was also a guest at the wedding and it was a huge hit!  There was so much awesomeness that it was hard to pick favorites for the blog.  Make sure you check out the rest on smilebooth.com and head over to like our facebook page to see a little preview of their wedding photos! - T.J.

You guys rocked our faces off!

Brian + Kim

Brian and Kim are so awesome and so was their wedding!  It was a day filled with fun, dancing and lots of laughter.  I knew it was going to be a good day when I showed up to takes photos of the guys getting ready and they were listening to Gangnam Style by Psy.  Also, one of my dearest friends, Julia, was in the bridal party.  When we know people at the wedding it always makes it a little extra special for our team!  Brian and Kim were so much fun to photograph and the Smilebooth was a huge hit at their wedding.  It was so hard to pick my favorites to blog because there were so many.  Enjoy! - T.J.
