Stephen + Lori

Stephen is an astronomer and Lori is a librarian. How cool is that? And I assure you that their wedding was equally as awesome. Stephen + Lori tied the knot at the Stone Mill Inn on a Monday evening in August. They did a great job showing their personalities throughout their wedding style and decor. The paper flowers, her birdcage veil, bridesmaid's clutches, and groomsmen's ties were all found on Etsy, which I loved. Their escort cards were old library cards and the tables were numbered by constellations- illustrated by old Uranographia by Johannes Hevelius. They drew the constellations on the library cards and people could find their seats that way, which was something I'd never seen before!

Stephen + Lori are also are the proud owners of four little guinea pigs- so they had a custom cake-topper made as a replica of two of their guinea pigs. They also gave away books as their favors, each with a small written review on why these books changed and affected their lives. Stephen's Dad pulled together a team to make the delicous cupcakes, in their favorite flavors (raspberry lemonade, mojito, and ginger lychee), after the bakery they wanted to use fell through. I absolutely love when the details of weddings are unique and personal. It makes everything better.

I think my favorite part about their wedding day happened right before the evening was over. Stephen suprised Lori with a flying paper lantern. They each made a wish on the lantern as it floated into the sky. It was incredibly beautiful. [BC]
