This past Saturday was a really awesome day, on so many levels. 1. Ethan + Christin tied the knot! 2. We got to watch one of our all-time favorite families celebrate and dance at their son's wedding. 3. We got to be in the Smilebooth. Always a good day.
I've know Ethan's family, the McNaughton's for a long time. Since the 90's... so basically, like forever. Fred McNaughton is a local radio DJ and has been friends with my Dad for quite some time. When it came time (three years ago) for T.J. and I to tie the knot, we knew we wanted to do pre-marital couseling with a couple we really looked up to. One of the first couple's to come to our mind was Fred + Sharon. They are funny, loving and have created a family that makes your heart melt a little bit. The McNaughton's have eight kids (see giant family photos below).... several of which are adpoted, from all over the world. Their family dynamics are wonderful. It's actually hard not to be happy when you're around them. I hope I can say that about my family someday.
Christin is incredibly sweet, and the kind of person I think is perfect for Ethan.. who was described by his groomsmen as "Asian, Clean + Frugal". Ha! The newlyweds were a joy to photograph, as they giggled, admired their shiny new rings and ran through the field with me for photos.
T.J. and I were thrilled to see the joy of Ethan + Christin's wedding day become contagious to their guests and such a deserving family. What a blessing. -Brooke

This past Sunday, T.J. and I shot Travis + Judy's wedding at the Yellow Barn, at Landis Valley Museum. We've said it before, but I'll say it again - I love shooting at Landis Valley. Everywhere you look is a beautiful little nook to shoot photos in. Just perfect. Jeff joined us for the reception, shooting dancing photos and being a weirdo in the Smilebooth - truly one of his talents.
T.J. and I have gotten to know Travis + Judy a little bit through our church, LCBC, and the young adult events at Saturate. They are both wonderful, creative and talented people. Judy sometimes plays in my dad's band, which is also awesome. And I know/remember Travis from highschool. Funny how everyone and everything comes together sometimes.
Hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos from their wedding day. It was beautiful! -Brooke

And here's the grande finale of "Nick + Lindsey" week -- their wedding photos!! Last Saturday was a wonderful in ever way. Everything about it was beautiful. It was awesome to see T.J. actually be part of a wedding and not just the photographer. It was awesome to have our entire team there, shooting side by side, doing their best. It was awesome to see Nick + Lindsey join together in marriage with their whole hearts.
I couldn't be happier with Nick + Lindsey's images. Let us know which ones are your favorites. Enjoy! -Brooke

The week long tribute to my brother and his new bride continues!! This installment focuses on the Smilebooth at the reception. Our family loves the Smilebooth and we'd like to consider ourselves experts, so it was a big hit! Here are some of our favorites from the evening! - T.J.

We don't ususally have anything to do with our client's rehearsal dinners, but since Nick is T.J.'s brother - we were all about this rehearsal dinner! (Duh!) My mother-in-law, Cindy, and I planned everything for the dinner a few month ago, and it was so awesome to see everything come together last Friday night.
I was in charge of the table centerpieces and other crafty things. I especially loved doing the flowers. I think somehwere, in another life, I would be a part-time florist. I upcycled all of the jars from a party we had last summer -- painted them shades of blue -- and, voila! Fun, easy centerpieces. I also made wedding day itinerary kits, which I thought were so cool! (See Instagram below).
Everyone spent the evening telling stories about Nick + Lindsey, jumping around (literally) in the Smilebooth and watching T.J.'s "Best Man Audition Tape". All in all, it was a beautiful night filled with laughter, family and some serious excitment for the following day. Enjoy! -Brooke
